Guest Experiences.
From complex renovations to ground-up construction, Optum brings disciplined execution, industry experience, and an unwavering attention to detail to hospitality environments designed to perform beautifully for guests and operators alike.
Built Around the
Guest Experience.
From landmark hotel renovations to ground-up construction, Optum brings precision, coordination, and disciplined execution to environments where every detail matters. Our hospitality experience spans guest spaces, restaurants, fitness facilities, meeting environments, and large-scale public areas—often while properties remain fully operational.
Nashville Airport Marriott
A complete interior demolition and build-back transformed the existing restaurant and upgraded the hotel lobby through new drywall, paint, wall coverings, flooring, fire protection, and ADA improvements. Working closely with Marriott’s team, Optum helped turn an early-1980s restaurant into a contemporary, upscale environment while incorporating construction and design elements intended to inform future Marriott restaurant standards.
Sheraton Hotel Atlanta
Optum completed an extensive renovation of the hotel’s public areas, including the lobby, restaurant, deli, 20,000-square-foot kitchen, gift shop, meeting rooms, ballrooms, and an octagon-shaped poolside bar. The scope also converted 25,000 square feet of existing parking garage into an expo hall and created a 10,000-square-foot IBM training facility—all while the hotel remained in operation and guest activities continued.
Westin Peachtree Plaza
Optum coordinated vendors across four states and overseas for the interior millwork renovation of this landmark downtown hotel. The project encompassed the lobby, meeting rooms, restaurant, and lounge, including new registration desks, six elevator banks, and a custom radius bar. Installation also included wall panels reaching ten stories within the 80,000-square-foot lobby, with individual book-matched veneer panels extending more than 200 feet.
The Ritz-Carlton
This interior renovation completely transformed the hotel restaurant with a newly constructed bar and upgraded finishes throughout the lobby and club lounge. Custom-fabricated exotic wood veneer wall panels required exacting craftsmanship and coordination, while the restaurant’s balcony overlooking Peachtree Street helped create a finished environment with distinctive character and an elevated sense of place.
Westin Hotel Health Club
Selected to collaborate with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s designers and construction team, Optum helped develop a fitness facility that became a prototype for Westin Health Clubs nationwide. The project translated an advanced, highly technical design into a functional real-world environment, including installation of state-of-the-art equipment in configurations not previously attempted on a Starwood project. Optum also accelerated an already demanding schedule to support a Travel Channel filming on opening day.
Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville
This 74,125-square-foot Hilton Garden Inn features 118 guest rooms constructed with CMU and precast plank structural systems, with metal stud framing throughout. Optum managed every phase of the project—from site preparation through final finishes—to deliver a durable, efficient hospitality environment aligned with brand standards, guest comfort, and long-term operational performance.
Hospitality Demands
More Than Construction.
It requires coordination, discretion, craftsmanship, and an understanding that the property still has a business to run. Optum approaches hospitality construction with the experience and discipline required to protect both the project and the guest experience.
Operational Continuity
Hospitality renovations often happen while the property remains fully operational. Optum carefully sequences construction, access, deliveries, noise, and site activity to minimize disruption and help protect the guest experience.
Complex Coordination
Owners, designers, brand representatives, specialty vendors, trades, and operating teams all have to move in the same direction. Optum brings those moving parts together through disciplined planning, communication, and field coordination.
Finish + Craftsmanship
Hospitality spaces are experienced up close. Millwork, finishes, restaurants, lobbies, guest environments, and highly visible architectural details require precision. Optum understands that the finished product has to perform technically and present beautifully.
Schedule Discipline
Openings, renovations, brand transitions, and operating commitments create firm deadlines. Optum brings experienced project management to demanding schedules, occupied environments, and logistics-intensive construction without losing sight of quality.
