Welcome to Hospitality
Nashville Airport Mariott
This project consisted of a complete interior demolition and build-back of the existing restaurant, as well as aesthetic and safety renovations to the hotel lobby that included drywall, paint, wall covering, flooring, fire sprinkler system, and ADA compliance. Optum implemented the designers’ vision to convert an early-80’s “mom and pop” style eatery into a trendy upscale restaurant. With the collaboration of Marriott’s team and Optum Construction this project incorporated numerous construction and design aspects that will become the standard for Marriott restaurants in the future.
Sheraton Hotel Atlanta
Work on this project included a complete renovation of the public areas, which encompassed a transformation of the lobby, restaurant, deli, 20,000 square-foot kitchen, gift shop, meeting rooms, ballrooms and an octagon-shaped poolside bar. Optum was also responsible for converting 25,000 square feet of the existing parking garage into an elegant expo hall as well as the construction of a 10,000 square-foot IBM training facility. The entire project was conducted during regular hotel operating hours without hindering guest relations or activities.
Westin Peachtree Plaza
We facilitated seamless collaboration among vendors located in four states and overseas, aligning all partners toward a successful outcome. Optum Construction contracted the interior millwork renovation of the lobby, meeting rooms, restaurant, and lounge in this downtown hotel. The extensive renovation included new registration desks, six elevator banks, and a custom designed radius bar. The scope also encompassed installation of wall panels up to ten stories high in the 80,000 square-foot lobby area. Some of these panels were over 200 feet long with book-matched veneers.
The Ritz Carlton
This interior renovation included a complete transformation of the hotel restaurant, a newly constructed bar, and upgraded finishes throughout the lobby and club lounge. The design features custom-fabricated exotic wood veneer wall panels, an uncommon finish that required precise craftsmanship and coordination. Paired with the restaurant’s balcony overlooking Peachtree Street, these elements create a space with striking beauty and unmistakable character.
Westin Hotel Health Club
Optum Construction was selected to work with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s designers and construction department in the development of this fitness facility that became a prototype for all the Westin Health Clubs nationwide. Optum was able to take the advanced and complicated design of these visionaries and make it functional against the obstacles of a realistic application. These obstacles included installation of state-of-the-art equipment in ways that had never been attempted before on a Starwood project. Optum was able to expedite an already pressed schedule to allow the C.E.O. of Starwood Hotels to film a segment for the Travel Channel in the health club on opening day.
